Jillian Marie Angelicola

Sunday, August 18, 1985Saturday, July 22, 2017

On Saturday evening, July 22, 2017, Jillian Marie Angelicola, 31, a resident of Shavertown, earned her angel wings.

Born on August 18, 1985, in Wilkes-Barre, Jillian was the daughter of Annmarie (Rubino) Angelicola, Shavertown, and Richard Angelicola, Clarks Summit.

Jillian was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 2003, and also attended Empire Beauty School.

A woman of great faith, Jillian was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Larksville.

Jillian was a beautiful person inside and out! She battled her illnesses with strength and her deep faith in Jesus. A beloved possession of hers was a small book of Novena’s which was given to her by her maternal grandmother when her struggles began. Sadly, that book of Novena’s was in her hands when her struggles ended.

She prayed daily seeking peace and healing, and her prayers were answered, just not answered on this earth. Our hearts are heavy with grief but our beloved Jillian’s struggles on this earth are over. She now rejoices in the light and love of our Lord Jesus, where his peace will forever surround her.

Jillian was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Augustine Rubino; and her paternal grandparents, Vincent and Margie Angelicola.

In addition to her loving parents, Annmarie and Rick, Jillian is survived by her beautiful and beloved daughter, Lilyrose Angelicola Ebert, Shavertown; her brothers, A.J. Angelicola and Dominic Angelicola, both of Clarks Summit; her sisters, Lauren Moyer, Shavertown; Alyssa Angelicola and Mia Angelicola, both of Clarks Summit; her maternal grandmother, Josephine Rubino, Old Boston section of Jenkins Township; her nephews, Gino Angelicola, Clarks Summit; and Austin Lewis, Shavertown; her step-mother, Kristen Angelicola, Clarks Summit; as well as her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jillian is also survived by her fiancé, Joe Austra, Larksville, and their beloved dog, Sparkles.

God said, "I'll lend you for a while a child of mine, for you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she's dead. It may be six or seven years, or thirty-one or three, but will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She’ll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief, you'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief."

"I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over in My search for teachers true, and from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have chosen you. Now will you give her all your love, not think the labor vain, nor hate Me when I come to call to take her back again?"

“I fancied that I heard them say”, “Dear Lord, Thy will be done, for all the joy thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we run. We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may, and for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay! But should the angels call for her much sooner than we've planned, we'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand!"
